Core 2 Duo: One Awesome Processor!

There has been a lot of press coverage of the new Core 2 Duo processors and at the risk of sounding like an Intel commercial, you should believe the hype! Remember that I work for Intel and have no more official voice than any janitor in the company, but I do have a relevant user experience! Upgrading the RAM in My Q1

Inspired by Kevin Tofel, I opened the case on my Q1 on Friday to upgrade the RAM. I installed a 1 GB DIMM and the process was a breeze. I have found that I can leave more applications running now without any performance degradation, but overall, the change is fairly subtle. Kudos to Kevin for his pioneering effort – His pictures and step-by-step procedure took all the fear out of the upgrade.
